The Build – Part 8
The final step in the RC10 build is the body. I decided to have the body painted in Jay Halsey’s World Championship colors…but with a slight 2013 twist. Larry Genova did it up complete with the driver and gave me exactly what I was looking for…again! The car looks great especially with the lights attached.

Build Notes:
It is suggested that you mark the bodymount holes prior to painting. That will make it much easier to mount. Don’t forget to mark the wing mount holes as well.

The first step of the final step is to cut out the body and attach the lights. A tip: don’t make the holes for the light screws too big. In fact, it’s better if you make a tiny hole and test fit. The screws have a tiny head and if you make the holes to big, the screws will pull through the body. You should also put a tiny drop of threadlock on the screws to help lock them in place.

A final look at the RC10 Classic. The body and wing have been cut and mounted and the buggy is ready to go! Next step…the test drive!

Thanks for following along the build. If you were lucky enough to get one of these cars, take good care of it…it’s a Classic.
