Team Associated T5M Stadium Truck Build

Team Associated T5M Stadium Truck Build
Team Associated T5M Stadium Truck Build

It was only a matter of time until the brilliant mid-motor design of Team Associated’s B5M made its way to their Stadium Truck. This truck features all of the same goodness as the buggy but in a longer, wider form. It’s handling is excellent and it jumps like a gazelle, making it one of the best Stadium Trucks I’ve ever driven.

While the build is very similar to that of the B5M, we thought it deserved its own build simply because it’s just that good.

We used the following parts in our build:
• Reedy RS1508 Digital HV Servo, www.reedypower.com
• Reedy Blackbox 410R Competition Brushless ESC, www.reedypower.com
• Reedy Sonic 540 Mach 2 7.0T Brushless Motor, www.reedypower.com
• Reedy 5800mAh 65C 7.4V LiPo Battery, www.reedypower.com
• Futaba 4PX Transmitter, www.futaba-rc.com
• Proline ION T 2.2″ Truck Tires, www.prolineracing.com
• Awesome Paint by Kustom RC Graphix, www.kustomrcgraphics.com

  1. Nice review of the build. I have a question and that is are you experiencing any rub on the front wheels to the ball cups? I am using Jconcepts wheels and I have made sure all my cambers and inserts are per the manual and what you are doing here and its still rubbing.

  2. Thanks John.

I haven’t had any major issues … there appears to be some minor rubbing but that might be the wheels flexing on landings, extremely hard cornering, etc. If you run on a really high bite surface, it may definitely be the wheels flexing. I haven’t tried the JConcepts wheels but that may also be an issue if they’re not set to the same tolerances as the Prolines (what I’m using).
