Who would have thought you could make Team Associated’s B5M any better? Well, apparently they did and have released a lightweight transmission option for spec class racers. The 3-gear box is designed as a low-rotating mass option which saves weight and actually improves drivetrain efficiency.
For you modified racers that want to give this option a try, AE states that this is also works great on high-grip tracks as the gyroscopic effect of the motor (since it’s reversed) will help keep the car stay flatter in the corners.
The 3-gear transmission for the RC10B5M requires the #91606 top shaft, #91607 gear box, #91604 gear cover, and either the #91602 black or #91603 blue motor plate, all shown below.
