Exotek has released the EXO-FIVE Chassis, a conversion kit for your Tamiya EVO5/EVO5 MS designed specifically for stock and VTA classes. The 2.25mm carbon chassis has been narrowed to only 86mm to reduce weight and roll and is stiffer than the original for better handling on high-traction tracks.
The motor area has also received a major overhaul; it has been moved to the left side of the chassis to eliminate torque steer and farther to the rear to improve high-speed steering. Next, an easy-access motor plate has been designed with a triangulated base to ensure a secure mount.
Exotek went with a new, one-piece spur gear mount/input shaft design. This all but eliminates the stock, wobbly-pinned spur gear setup.
Other features include a floating alloy servo mount, hard anodized center driveshaft cups (using Tamiya’s CVD Puck setup) and an adjustable cradle system that can secure full 7.4v LiPos or shorty-style packs.
Exotek always puts out some killer conversions so I’m going to guess this is going to be one of those you’ll need in your stable!
