RC has a lot to offer in the form of bodies, wheels, tires, chassis’, etc … enough variety to quench the thirst of most RC enthusiasts. But what if there’s a particular body that you want on your car that just doesn’t exist? Well, you 3D print one!
Brent Turnage has whipped up this little gem and printed it out using 3D technology. It’s a design that he’s been inspired by for years, so he modeled it up in a 3D program called Simplfy3D, taking roughly a month to complete.
The finished product is simply amazing and is incredibly detailed for this type of print. It sits a mere 56mm high and has a wheelbase of 320mm, sitting atop a custom 3D-printed chassis as well. It’s powered by a 13.5T motor and rolls on standard RC F1 wheels and tires.
This isn’t Brett’s first 3D printed model – check out the picture with his detailed F1 body honoring the late, great Ayrton Senna!
I think it’s absolutely beautiful … talking to a buddy right now about 3D printing one up for me!
