Xray T4F 2021 FWD Touring Car | CompetitionX

Xray T4F 2021 FWD Touring Car | CompetitionX

It’s finally here – Xray’s latest FWD TC, the T4F 2021!

Based on the 2020 T4 4WD car, the T4F (F for Front drive) has gone away from the original front-motor layout for the more popular mid-motor setup. This also makes it 90% compatible with the T4, meaning you can run both cars with only one set of parts.

Here’s a list of the all-new features included with the T4F:

• All-new FWD platform based on the T4’20 4WD Touring Car
• All-new drivetrain layout with mid-front motor position
• Centered layshaft position for more consistent on-power/off-power balance
• All-new motor position – mounted in front of the layshaft for the improved weight balance
• Super narrow top shaft uses updated 20T pulleys with pressed-in ball bearings to minimize space requirements
• Narrow arm mounts with new 7mm suspension arms improve traction and corner speed
• Suspension arms feature two shock mounting locations; the lower position combined with ULP shock towers reduce chassis roll and improve stability in high traction conditions
• All-new super low mounting anti-roll bars and optimized linkage components helps lower the vehicle CG
• All-new redesigned anti-roll bar system features new front bars, smaller bushings and shorter ball joints
• All-new black-anodized lower bulkheads are moved inward by 1mm for clearance for the new long-arm suspension geometry
• All-new carbon fiber floating servo holder is lighter than the previous version with taller servo posts redesigned to work with new suspension and driveline geometry

This car looks pretty amazing and I hope to see them at the track pretty soon (if we ever get to go back to the track!).
