Exotek Racing HD Steel Axle – F1ULTRA | CompetitionX

Exotek Racing HD Steel Axle - F1ULTRA | CompetitionX

Exotek Racing has dropped a new rear axle for their stunning F1ULTRA Formula 1 car. This axle is a direct replacement for the stock unit and adds 26g of weight to the rear of the car.

What We Like:
Anything that helps to add rear grip in a F1 car is a plus. We also like that it’s designed to balance the rear pod and accepts the stock ball diff parts. It will definitely hold up better than the stock diff in a rear end collision!

What We’re Not Sure About:
The F1ULTRA, in kit form, produces a TON of rear grip for an F1 car – like, serious rear grip. While I get adding a steel rear axle will help in the durability department, I don’t know that I need MORE rear grip. I have one of these cars and I’m struggling a bit for more FRONT grip. A nice ‘in-between’ type of rear axle – more durability without THAT much more rear grip – would be a welcome addition.

I think the new HD steel rear axle is going to help keep the F1ULTRA firmly planted in a race, allowing for a collision (or two, or three) without the fear of breaking the stock rear axle.
