AVID RC Aluminum Chassis for the Team Associated TC6.2 Touring Car

AVID RC Aluminum Chassis for the Team Associated TC6.2 Touring Car

AVID RC has come out with an aluminum lower chassis for the Team Associated TC6.2. This chassis is designed to be a bit more rigid than the standard carbon chassis and should be used on tracks with medium to high bite conditions.

Starting with a piece of 7075-T6 aluminum, AVID carves out a 2mm deck complete with cutouts to reduce weight. Battery tape slots have been milled into it as well as a channel underneath to protect the tape should your chassis come in contact with the ground.

The chassis is 2mm thick and narrowed to 84mm to allow for a deeper roll in the corners. Chassis shape has also been smoothed a bit to keep the droop screw platforms from touching down during hard cornering.
