AVID RC has released a cool diff thrust bearing that features a ‘cage’ to help keep the balls in place. This makes building your diff (the thrust bearing part) super easy and helps keep your hands clean from all the black grease.

The diff thrust bearing is available in 3 different versions depending on your budget and level of performance you’re looking for.

Tungsten Carbide Ball: This is what we recommend to most racers. The balls are more true in size and harder than steel, so they are smoother and last longer, but diff setting is still relatively easy.

Ceramic Ball: These balls are completely smooth and the hardest material we offer. This makes for the smoothest feeling, but the diff setting is the most narrow window of adjustment. Recommended for experienced racers only.

Steel Ball: This is the least expensive ($3 each) and easiest to set the diff. They do not stay smooth for as long as Tungsten Carbide or Ceramic so there is a small drop in performance for the lower price.

Fits all Team Associated B4.2, T4.2, SC10.2, SC10B and previous models along with TLR 22, 22T, 22 SCT. Does not fit Kyosho.

F2.5-6M/TC Associated/TLR Diff Thrust Bearing, Tungsten Carbide – 1 caged thrust, 2 grooved washers, $10.00
F2.5-6M/C Associated/TLR Diff Thrust Bearing, Ceramic – 1 caged thrust, 2 grooved washers, $10.00
F2.5-6M Associated/TLR Diff Thrust Bearing, Steel – 1 caged thrust, 2 grooved washers, $3.00
