Team Associated buggy and truck owners can upgrade to big-bore 12mm shock springs using these new spring collar adapters. These simple and inexpensive adapters will give your car or truck a clean and professional look. Features are:

• Collar Adapters slide directly over the existing shock collar and secure with a set screw. Installation only takes a minute and the collars hold the springs concentric as well as allowing for easy ride height adjustments.

• Stainless steel set screw acts as an indicator to help make ride height adjustments equal for all shocks.
(Tip: Set your collars evenly left and right and Dremel or file a notch into the existing collar. Align the set screw with the notch and then your collars will be equal left and right. We recommend using blue thread lock on the set screw.)

• 6061-T6 Aluminum alloy, precision machined, black anodized with silver 4-40 stainless steel set screw.

• Each package includes 4 spring collar adapters, 4 set screws, and 1 AVID mini decal sheet.

The AV1014 Spring Collar Adapters fit the threaded off-road shocks on all Associated 10th scale buggies and trucks (B4.1, B44.1, T4.1, SC10). The spring collar adapters require big bore springs (we recommend AVID buggy or truck precision springs) and lower spring cups. AVID aluminum lower spring cups will be available in June, but we’ve released the collar adapters for those racers who have already upgraded their cars but want a better fit and to make easy ride height adjustments.

AV1014 Team Associated B4.1 Spring Collar Adapters
Fits: Associated B4.1, B44.1, T4.1, SC10
Price: $14.00

Note: Due to the larger diameter of big bore 12mm springs, the shock collars will hit the B4.1 front shock tower when using the inside hole. We recommend shaving the edge on the back side of the front tower for clearance. You can also add a ballstud washer to space the upper shock mount away from the tower.
