If you use you Yeti for actual rock racing, you’re going to love this new release from Axial. They’ve put together a 2-speed, Hi/Lo Transmission conversion kit that comes complete with heat-treated and hardened steel machined gears, a full set of cartridge bearings, two different mounting options for your servo (depending on if you’re using a micro or standard servo), a servo saver system and all the mounting hardware. They’ve even included an optional high-speed gear set.
This new system will drop first gear down to 2:1, allowing excellent torque for muscling up and over bigger rocks. When you hit the flats, flip the trans into high gear (stock, 1.08:1 – high-gear option, 0.93:1) for a boost in top end speed.
The shifting transmission does require a 3rd channel on your radio to work.
