Boom Racing 1/10 Scale Mercedes G63 6×6 Electric Scale Truck

I think scale trucks are one of the coolest segments of RC. Sure they’re not fast or have super-plushy suspensions that can handle huge jumps, but who cares. It’s about style-points, and this new G63 6×6 scaler from Boom Racing has got my vote for one of the coolest scalers around!

Now I know what you’re thinking; it’s not all that realistic. You’re right, it’s not (or at least I’ve never seen one before), but the execution on this rig is what sets it apart while still keeping it in the scaler realm.

First off, this truck has aluminum everywhere; machined shock mounts, transfer case; dampers, front and rear axles; the list goes on and on. It comes pre-assembled so you can just pull it from the box and go. It comes with a pre-installed motor, ESC and servo, however you’ll need to supply the battery. Then there’s the AWD system, powering 1.9″ scale tires on white, 5-lug wheels. Finally, I love the Mercedes body complete with dually rear fenders and spare tire rack.

This truck rolls in at a nice 640mm (25.2″) and 220mm (8.7″) wide. On it’s own I bet it makes a great trail truck, but I can see the projects lining up already.
