Futaba has announced a new ESC in their lineup – the MC971CR.
This brushless ESC has all the normal features seen in most speed controls, however it now supports wireless communication with Futaba’s 10PX, 7PX, 7XC and 4PM radio systems. That means you can set ESC control functions right from a supporting Futaba radio system!
The MC971CR is compatible with 7.5T motors or down to 4T with an optional external fan.

What We Like:
While we’re not sure WHAT functions can be adjusted, we’re very interested in seeing how all of that works. ESC modifications from the driver’s stand??? Yes please!
What We’re Not Sure About:
While it all sounds good, Futaba is not a big brand name for ESCs. We do think the wireless communication is a cool feature, but most likely not a big enough reason to get one.
