HPI has announced the release of a new trail truck. The big buzz is not that it’s a new truck, but more that it’s a new Venture – literally. Venture is a new brand platform for HPI, and it will start with the release of the FJ trail truck. Not much is known about it yet other than the fact that it’s not based on any existing platforms.
Looking at the video, we can see that the truck comes with a very realistic FJ shell complete with roof rack, side mirrors, spare tire and molded front and rear offroad bumpers. The wheel and tire package looks great as well.
While you can’t see much in the promo video, I did catch a glimpse of the 4WD system and a solid front and rear axle. Oh, and I’m guessing it’s waterproof.
Exciting to see HPI jumping into the growing scale truck world!
