JConcepts Cargo Net Battery Brace | CompetitionX

JConcepts has announced a cool (and colorful) new way to keep your battery pack in place in your Team Associated B6.3, T6.2 and SC6.2 – the Cargo Net Battery Brace. This setup uses a carbon mounting system that replaces the kit setup, then utilized a flexible ‘net’ to capture your battery pack. The carbon plates include optional mounting holes to allow you to easily shift your pack forward or back for tuning weight distribution.

What We Like:
First off – brilliant idea. I’ve never liked the ‘screw-in’ systems or o-ring setups – both are clunky and don’t seem very secure in a crash (the o-ring setup especially). The cargo net has a much larger footprint for holding down your pack and, with the 9 optional colors, allows you to brighten up your battery area with a matching net. JC has also molded in large tabs to the net for easy installation and removal.

What We’re Not Sure About:
Not a thing. I was initially concerned that the carbon might cut though the net-securing hoops but seeing as they are made from a molded rubber, they’ll probably outlast your car!
