Kraken RC, known for their super cool large scale RC rides, has announced the latest rig in their 1/5 scale line up – the VEKTA.5E Ultra.
This big boy comes in in two flavors – RTR and Roller – with both versions coming to us in full electric trim … no conversion from the gas side of the bench.
The VEKTA.5E Ultra looks awesome and features new transmission design, Currie FG-inspired V3 solid rear axle, full cage and 4 beefy suspension. The meat of the RTR, however, is the Hobbywing Max4 300A ESC and Leopard 530kV brushless motor, together capable of handling a whopping 12S LiPo power!
The Roller comes pre-assembled as well but lacks all of the electronics – you’ll need to purchase those separately.

What We Like:
We’ve been big fans of the Kraken 1/5 scale products for some time and seeing an all new 100% electric version is pretty exciting. The raw power behind LiPo batteries is something we really love and think an all-electric version of the VEKTA is a sure winner. We think a 12S system is going to be ridiculous, but we’re excited to see it go!
What We’re Not Sure About:
Yes, it’s probably worth it, but this is a high-dollar ticket for serious RC peeps only.
