RC Discharger has released a Version 2 of their popular Regenerative Discharger system. This system is designed to work with the iCharger S6 and is perfect for those racing 1/12 and 1/10 scale vehicles (up to 3S).
This setup is more compact and lighter weight than it’s predecessor and, when combined with the S6 offers these capabilities:
• Compatibility Beyond Limits: Our Regenerative Discharger is the first-ever battery discharger compatible with all Junsi iCharger models. This includes the X6, X8, X12, S6, DX6, DX8 and DX12.
• Dual Charging Power: Imagine cycling, discharging and/or charging two 1S batteries simultaneously up to 32A using both outputs on your iCharger DUO – this Regenerative Discharger makes that dream a reality. For cycling two 2S batteries simultaneously, the Regenerative Discharger 4S is required.
• Synchronous Mode Advantage: Unlike any other discharger, ours is compatible with the Synchronous mode of your iCharger DUO, allowing you to discharge a 1S battery up to 50A.
• All-in-One Solution: No need for a second device to test and compare your batteries’ capacity and internal resistance. With Regenerative technology, you’ll achieve a lower internal resistance compared to a traditional resistor bank.
• Internal Resistance Reduction: At 30A/32A/40A/50A cycles, our discharger significantly reduces your battery’s internal resistance. The result are packs with more speed, power and longer battery life.
• Eco-Friendly Energy Recovery: Our product doesn’t just discharge; it’s environmentally conscious and recovers energy during discharge. It then reuses this energy during the charge phase.
• Space-Saving All-in-One Design: Our clean and neat design features short wires to optimize space. It holds both the charger and power supply, streamlining your setup.
• No Resistor Banks, No Hassle: Forget about disconnecting resistor banks after discharge. Our discharger works seamlessly with the Cycle mode on your iCharger S6/X6/X8/X12.
• Ready to Use, Plug-and-Play: Simply plug your iCharger into our RC Regenerative Discharger, and you’re good to go. No complicated setup!

What We Like:
We’re a bit embarrassed to say, but we don’t ‘use’ our batteries like we should. We charge during the race day and discharge at the end – there’s no secret cycling or hard-discharging going on in the CompetitionX-camp. That being said, we really feel like a system like this could definitely up your racing game – more battery power, lower IR and longer battery life.
What We’re Not Sure About:
This unit isn’t cheap, but if it can help put you on the podium, we think it might be worth it!
