Redcat Racing RDS Competition Spec Drift Car | CompetitionX

Redcat Racing’s new RDS is geared towards competitive drifting and comes loaded with a ton of features used by the pros.

It starts life as a ground up design complete with a carbon fiber chassis, rear-mounted motor with 3-bias settings, a massive amount of front steering angle and lots of adjustment to help you keep control of your ride.

Because it’s an RTR, it comes fully assembled and has a nice electronics package – 3300kV 540 brushless motor, 60A ESC, Drift-Spec Hexfly digital servo, a 2.4GHz radio system and a GX-1 Drift servo.

It is available in two colors: Burnt Orange and Slate Grey.

What We Like:
It’s cool to see a company like Redcat going for the gold in competitive drifting. On paper, the RDS looks like it’s got what it takes to hit the ground swinging – the chassis looks promising and we’re diggin’ the very-Z like body set (love the LEDs as well). It will be interesting to see how this car performs against some of the other releases currently out there.

What We’re Not Sure About:
Nothing at the moment. Could be a great car to get into competitive drifting if it performs as advertised.
