I recently installed the laydown transmission in my B6D and found the car to be extremely aggressive. While I’m ok with that, it basically took eliminated all the work I’ve done fine tuning my setup. Schelle Racing has a fix for this; by removing the stock plastic waterfall brace and replacing it with a tie rod that connects to the battery strap, you add flex to the rear of the car and gain back a little of that traction.
The setup comes in two stages; an X-Plate that attaches to the top of your Schelle Racing battery strap and a Chassis Tie Rod Set that connects to the X-Plate and the pivot point on the transmission.
I’ve got one of these on order – I’ll discuss my results after a few trips to the track!
