After a good, long run, the venerable Tamiya CC-01 is being replaced with a version 2 – the CC-02.
Now I’ve got some insider info about this truck (der) and have to say it’s certainly a wonderful upgrade from the CC-01. Here are some of the details we can talk about:
• Polycarbonate Mercedes-Benz G500 body with molded grille, side mirrors and spare tire cover.
• Ladder frame chassis
• 4WD system with longitudinally mounted motor, separate gearbox and transfer case
• 4-link suspension system
• Dual solid axles
• Oil-filled shocks
• 20 gear ratio options – 11.09:1 – 29.28:1
Unfortunately, we don’t have photos yet that we can release – those are coming soon…VERY soon.
I am, however, looking forward to seeing this new truck in action! Stay tuned…
