Tamiya Fighter NXGEN DT-04 Buggy

Tamiya Fighter NXGEN DT-04 Buggy

Tamiya has developed the Fighter NXGEN on the DT-04 platform to conform with the beginner-based racing series’ held in Europe. These races only allow the DT-series vehicles, making it a fun and equal racing scene. The next gen (or NXGEN) buggy shares a similar look to the BBX – rear-motor layout, cage, driver figure and a distinctive body that uses multiple body panels for the ‘body’.

What We Like:
This car kind of reminds me of a ‘baby BBX’ – same look and feel, just toned down a bit. And the thought of a low-cost spec racing series using these??? Genius! I have mine sitting right here – going to build it up and, in addition to some open field fun, I might just hit the track to see what kind of performance it really has!

What We’re Not Sure About:
Nothing. At all…
