Tamiya is bringing the CC-01 back again, this time topping it with a great looking Land Rover Defender 90 polycarbonate body.
This Defender features a double wishbone front and 4-link rear suspension, all damped by Tamiya’s long-stroke, oil-filled shocks. Propeller shafts with universal joints are included to drive the 4WD system, typical for this platform.
The D90 body is the star of the show, though, featuring separately molded grille, side mirrors, light cases and tire cover. The body is also designed to work with a light system; 5mm LEDs for the headlights and 5mm LEDs for the rear (x6). The multi-spoke wheels are coated in a matte finish and wrapped with what appears to be generic treaded tire.
As per most Tamiya kits, it comes with the TBLE-02S ESC that works with both brushed and brushless motors, however the kit comes with a Mabuchi motor.
