Tamiya has announced the release of another new body on their popular Wheelie chassis, the Mercedes Benz Unimog 406 Series U900. The term Unimog is an acronym for it’s German description – “UNIversal-MOtor-Gerat” – and it’s faithfully replicated here complete with bolt-on mirror, wipers and lights.

The Unimog body rests on Tamiya’s 2WD Wheelie chassis that is just as much at home with its front wheels in the air or on the ground. Mash the throttle and watch the Unimog break into a massive wheelie! It is equipped with a wheelie bar out back to make sure it never flips over completely. The tough ABS plastic CW-01 chassis is made for traversing rough terrain with ease. The suspension features a front independent swing axle and rear rolling rigid setup with coil springs, while the massive 115mm metal-plated wheels are fitted with large tires.
