Tamiya has introduced a new ride on their TT-02 chassis, the Tom’s GR Supra!
This Supra rolls along on a standard issue TT-02 chassis – 4WD, shaft driven, gear diffs, etc – and includes a Hobbywing THW-1060 ESC and brushed motor. On the beauty side, the body is pulled from lightweight polycarbonate and features separate light cases, canards and an ABS tree of bolt on parts. The au livery, though, is where this body just looks amazing! The kit is wrapped up with a set of matching multi-spoke gunmetal wheels and racing slick tires.
What We Like:
Obviously, the body looks gorgeous – as most of Tamiya’s bodies do. It is simply a masterpiece of both molding and matching the livery. We also dig the addition of the ABS parts – mirrors, wing, etc – as that really adds another level of pretty. Just a beautiful ride. We’re also happy this kit uses the TT-02 chassis and not the TT-01.
What We’re Not Sure About:
While the TT-02 chassis is not a barnstormer in the performance department, this body sure does look amazing on it. The only bummer is the lack of bearings. Without these, you really do lose alot of performance.
