Team Associated RC10B6.4D Team Kit | CompetitionX

Team Associated RC10B6.4D Team Kit | CompetitionX

Hot on the heels of the carpet version, Team Associated announces the sister buggy for dirt, the RC10B6.4D Team Kit.

This buggy is very similar to the carpet version, however there is a slight parts difference for the dirt. The new features of the B6.4D are similar to the carpet version:
• New 13mm big-bore threaded aluminum shocks, springs and machined shock pistons
• New ‘dirt length’ aluminum chassis that includes 22.5 degree kick-up
• Includes 20deg, 22.5deg and 25deg molded bulkheads
• New adjustable height steering bellcrank and rack system optimizes bumpsteer
• New -1mm kingpin offset steering and caster block set for smoother and more predictable steering
• New steel RC10B6.4 ESC mounting tray (with a wider footprint for electronics) shifted forward in the chassis
• New front ballstud mount, top plate and front wing mount
• New chassis side rails with 3 optional fan mount locations to choose from
• New caged thrust bearing for ball differential
• New cab-forward design RC10B6.4 bodyshell in standard (kit) thickness

What We Like:
Like the carpet version, the changes from the .3 to the .4 aren’t hugely different, but just enough to optimize performance. We love the idea of the larger, more forward-mounted new electronics tray and the 3 fan mount locations. Also loving the very sleek, low-slung look.

What We’re Not Sure About:
Looking a bit more closely, it appears that if you want to take advantage of forward electronics tray, you might have to use a low-profile servo. Not a real issue unless you don’t have a low-profile servo (most offroaders probably don’t).
