TLR has updated their 22 buggy to the 3.0 status, adding a few new features as well as a revised chassis to keep this MM fighter a versatile track contender.
Starting with the chassis, the TLR team has widened the chassis 2.5mm from the previous model, allowing the use of a traverse battery mounting option, helping with weight bias. Shorty LiPos can still be mounted fore to aft.
A new 3-gear transmission has been installed. This removes alot of the chassis roll while increasing stability and braking. The motor has been moved 12mm to the rear, moving the weight back and increasing rear grip. A 4-gear transmission is also available.
Both front and rear suspensions have been revised, including a new front caster block/suspension arm setup that allows for variable length adjustment. This feature allows you to run a short or long arm front arm geometry, providing excellent steering on any surface while increasing a more consistent feel. The rear has been widened 12mm, giving the 22 more grip without compromising corner speed. TLR incorporated the popular ‘0’ shock mounting hole into the rear tower as well as revised mounting locations in the rear suspension arms.
Additional features include GenII 12mm Big Bore shocks, an updated ball differential and a heavy duty slipper system. On top of all that, TLR has also outfitted the 22 3.0 with a slew of additional option parts.
You’re getting alot for you money with this ride. Time to do a little 2WD racing!
