MCD has announced the DUOX, a new entry in the 1/5 scale 2WD onroad class.
While they released the ‘sneak peek’ pix, you can still see quite a few details including an aluminum chassis with plenty of bracing (and lightening cutouts), aluminum shocks, front and rear disc brakes and a large, flat, centrally-mounted fuel tank. The engine appears to sit in the normal position with a large-volume pipe running down the left side.
This car is slated for release sometime in 2021, but for now you can enjoy this video of it tearing up the track!
I’ve never run 1/5 onroad (well, once around the track), but I have driven their 1/5 scale 4WD offroad buggy and it was awesome! I’d certainly love to try my hand at this form of racing!
