Chalk up more wins for MIPteam at Jimmy Babcock’s Racing League (JBRL) Electric Round 5! MIP/Matt Olson took First Place in Pro4 A-Main, MIP/Brandon Upshaw made the Top 10 with his 6th Place Pro4 A-Main, and MIP/Eustace Moore won the B-Main! All were running Losi TEN-SCTe with MIP Pro4mance Chassis and Tuning Package featuring http://RealShocks.com MIP Bypass1 Shock Technology.

Fresh on the heels of the Top Gun Shootout TQ and Win, the MIP Factory Team packed up and hit the road with high hopes for this 5th Round JBRL Electric event. Eustace Moore reports, “Our 3-man Factory Team arrived Friday and focused intently on setting up each drivers car, and our collaborative efforts paid off.” The race site was hot and windy, and the MIP team was lucky find a bit of shade and windblock to pit by. With a cooler full of cold water and Gatorade, the MIP team kept cool and ready to race.

Each did well in their class with MIP/Matt Olson taking the A-main win as the only driver averaging 16 second laps – nearly a second faster than any other drivers fastest lap. MIP/Brandon’s A-Main performance was not too shabby as his fastest lap with his Losi SCTe with MIP-Pro4Pak was .005 seconds faster than that of the 3rd place winner TLR/Dunford with his Losi SCTe!

The Losi SCTe short course platform had the upper hand as the three top racers battling for the lead in the Pro4 class at Controlled Chaos Raceway were TLR/Orion/UpgradeRC/Spektrum/JConcepts sponsored driver Ryan Dunford who placed Third running Losi SCTe, Coyote Hobbies/Pro-Line/Venom sponsored driver Chris Blais who ultimately placed 2nd running Losi SCTe, and the Winner by nearly a full second was MIP’s Matt Olson running Losi SCTe equipped with the new MIP Pro4mance Chassis and Tuning Package. Matt Olson had held onto the Top Qualifing spot for quite a while, until nudged out by .8 second faster Chris Blais! In the A-Main, Blais and Dunford had the initial leads, then Olson climbed to second for several laps behind Blais until, as Matt reports, “I checked out, and was gone, end of story! First Place for MIP’s Pro4mance Package!”

When asked about the race, Matt summarized, “The truck ran great all weekend at Jimmy Babcocks series race out at CCR in Palmdale CA. I qualified 2nd overall just under TQ by .8 seconds. I ended up taking over the lead within the next couple laps after an epic battle with Chris Blais and never looked back. I’ll be posting my setup on miponline.com under the Team Icon.”
