In this tenth year of running, the Jimmy Babcock Racing League continues to draw huge crowds for the one-day events. With over 260 entries invading the Pegasus Hobbies facility, there was sure to be enough action for everyone. With the first race going off at 8:30am and the last race finishing after 11:30pm, there was non-stop action around the outdoor, clay track. Team Associated descended upon the event to both support the series regulars and to compete for race wins.
In the most popular class, 2WD Modified, Team Associated/Reedy/LRP’s Kody Numedahl and his JConcepts-equipped B4.2 Factory Team were the star of the show. Setting the early TQ and walking away from the field in the main, Kody led a 10-car field to victory.
Starting on pole for a second class in 4WD Modified, Kody’s B44.2 Factory Team again took the early lead and never looked back, securing his second title of the event.
Following Numedahl’s example was Team Associated/Reedy/LRP’s Kevin Motter in Truck Modified. The young Team Associated racer has been on fire recently and showed his speed again by taking a wire-to-wire victory with his T4.2 Factory Team.
Also taking wins for Team Associated/Reedy/LRP were Nick Wautlet in 2WD Super Stock and Mike Squillace in Sportsman Stock Truck.
Thanks to everyone at Pegasus Hobbies for hosting the third round of the JBRL Electric Series! We’ll see you at the next stop at Controlled Chaos the weekend of June 22 in Palmdale, CA.
