Axial has done a great job at focusing their efforts towards scale releases. Their line of scale trail trucks has been hugely popular, so it was a nice change to see them venture off and build a rock racer like the Yeti.
However, Axial’s forward thinking not only gave us a 1/10 scale Yeti, the also bumped that business up and surprised everyone with the 1/8 Yeti XL! This is a beast of a vehicle and thankfully we got a chance to build the kit version you see here. It’s a pretty big box with a lot of parts, so let’s get right down to it.
Since it’s a kit, we’ll be supplying our own electronics for the Yeti XL. We’ll be using the following:
