The Build – Part 5
This short segment revolves around the assembly of the chassis and plastic side plates. We will also be attaching the center bulkhead and center differential.
Build Notes: Have some threadlock ready for the screws that go into the chassis. This will prevent them from backing out when out on the trails.
Axial EXO Terra Build - Step 54
Attach the plastic chassis rails to the main chassis plate. Use a dab of loctite on the screws to prevent them from backing out.
Axial EXO Terra Build - Step 55
Place the lower plastic gear cover in place and attach both of the center differential bulkhead pieces. Snug the screws up; do not overtighten. Overtightening could twist the bulkheads and cause a mis-alignment of the center differential.
Axial EXO Terra Build - Step 56
Drop the center differential into place (note the direction). Place the upper gear cover into place and secure with the four screws.
