The Build – Part 6
The final step in the TA06 Pro build is the body. Because I chose to use Tamiya’s IFS front end, this opened the door to some other bodies that I could not previously use. I went with the Honda HSV simply because it looks awesome and is very aerodynamic. This aero design should help give me some added speed around the track.

Build Notes:
The best way to set your body mount marks is to do it with an unpainted body. This way you can see through the body to mark where your holes are going to be placed.

Take your time painting the body. This is the first thing everyone will see so it should be as perfect as possible.

Make sure to trim all the sharp edges to avoid tearing a tire or, worse yet, your fingers.

Tamiya TA06 Pro Build Step 57
The paint scheme I opted for is based on the widely known Gulf blue and orange livery. This scheme has been around for a LONG time. I decided to give it a little twist with the flame pattern at the bottom…something to mix things up a bit.

Tamiya TA06 Pro Build Step 58
To give the body a little more pizazz, the front splitter was covered with carbon fiber tape.

Tamiya TA06 Pro Build Step 59
The rear wing got a fresh coat of flat black paint. It too received a little carbon fiber tape on it’s topside.

Tamiya TA06 Pro Build Step 60
The final product complete with sponsor stickers. I think it turned out pretty cool!

So, there you have it; the complete build of the Tamiya TA06 Pro. This was a pretty fun build. It went together very easily and can hold it’s own on the track.
