After an easy night of building, it was time to take our new Tamiya Fighter NXGEN buggy out for a little play time. Sitting on the newly designed DT-04 platform, this 2WD RWD buggy has a legacy feel to it – rear-mounted motor, 3-gear standup transmission and tub chassis – but with modern features.
In this video we travel to our local park to romp around the dirt, grass and other rough terrain, showing off the NXGEN’s handling capabilities. For this review, we stayed with the included Tamiya 540 motor and Hobbywing THW-1060 ESC – plenty of power to have some fun!
