Video: Tamiya Ford Escort MF-01X Rally Stage – Drone View | CompetitionX

At the recent RC Rally de Portugal, we found ourselves being followed by a drone during our run with the Tamiya MF-01X Rally car. It turned out so cool we had to post it (thanks to Matthew Callueng for the killer vid).

Aside from a full ball bearing kit and oil-filled shocks, our MF-01X is basically stock. For tuning, we did add some Tamiya AW Grease to the front diff as well as bolt on a set of old-school AE Rally tires. The combo worked well, so much so that it actually made the car a bit pushy. We’ll need to find some rotation for the sharper corners.
