Welcome to the February 2015 edition of The List. There were a lot of items to choose from this month and I wish I could promote all of them, but in the end I had to choose 5, and here they are.
1. X-Rider Cx3-II Motorcycle
One of the most challenging vehicles I’ve ever raced were RC motorcycles. Almost everything you know about turning, braking and even accelerating is different than that of an RC car. However, once you’ve mastered the technique, it’s a whole lot of fun. Back when I ran them, they were available as basic RTR models with very little upgrades available. I chose the X-Rider Cx3-II Motorcycle to be on The List mainly because of all the upgrades that come already in the box; a Hobbywing brushless system, LiPo battery, 2.4GHz radio system, carbon fiber chassis plates, front and rear disk brake system, full bearings, carbon fiber stand, threaded shock … the list is long! On top of that, you can choose from one of four body colors; black, white, yellow or red. I would have loved to have something this trick back then and I think it’s a good model to check out for those of you interested in RC motorcycles.

2. Schelle Racing B5 Aluminum Rear Hubs
While you may think that these are just ‘some new aluminum parts’, Schelle Racing has actually designed their rear hub for racing. Most rear hubs come either completely molded or a plastic/aluminum/carbon fiber combo with the camber link holes in pre-set positions. This is great if you happen to like the way your car handles with those positions, but what if you need something a little more fine tuned? This is where the Schelle Racing Hubs come in. They use a standard vertical mounting position but instead of having a fixed upper piece, you can space the mounting tab in small increments using shims. You can use 1mm shims, 2mm shims or more. I think this is a pretty simple yet innovative idea that definitely deserves a spot on The List.

3. KICKER KPw Bluetooth Speaker
I’ve been using one of KICKER’s iK100 Docking Stations for a couple years now. The sound is amazing and it’s spent many a night in my pits at the track. The one thing I didn’t like about it was that I had to dock my phone to it; every time the phone rang (or I got a text message), I had to pull it from the station to do my business. I had to do this alot … I’m not saying I’m Mr. Popular, but I do have responsibilities and all this on-the-station/off-the-station had me leaving the iK100 at home in favor of drama-less pit environment. I was happy to see that KICKER released their new KPw Bluetooth Speaker, meaning that my phone could be supplying the music while still within arms reach for personal use. On top of that, Team Associated is distributing the KPw through their partnership, so you put one in your Cart the next time you need to get some AE parts! This is a sweet little system that I’ll be more than happy to sport in my pit. Placing order now…

4. Overdose WORK Emotion CR Drift Wheels
One of the things I love most about RC drifting is the scale realism some of these guys put into their rides. There’s the paint, the custom bodywork, lights and even driver figures, but one of the things that really sets them off is the wheels. Realistic wheels, in my opinion, can make or break the look of a car. That said, Overdose RC has released a new set of WORK EMOTION wheels that are downright gorgeous! They are available in chrome, satin or white and will fit most drift tires. Oh, and did I mention they’re only $9.90 a pair? That’s a smokin’ deal! I love the look so much that I’m seriously thinking about outfitting not only my drift car but also my GT10 Series car and Touring cars! Love the look so I think they deserve a little extra shout out in The List.

5. RC4WD BigDog 1/10 Dual Axle Scale Boat Trailer
If you’re not familiar with RC4WD, you should be if you’re into scale vehicles. They offer a ton of kits and parts, allowing you to build anything from a mild trailer to a full blown scaler. One of the more unique items they’ve come out with is the BigDog Dual Axle Boat Trailer. Yes, this trailer will hook up to the back of your truck and allow you to tow a scale boat (if you can find something that fits). It’s got all the scale parts; dual axle, steel wheels, working lift jack and even a steel tool box. Heck, if even comes with lights! Kudos to RC4WD for thinking outside the box and not just releasing another scale item. That fact alone helps the BigDog secure a spot in the February 2015 edition of The List!
